New Zealand defeated India in 2nd T20

New Zealand defeated India to level three match T20 series 1-1:

Kiwis showed an all-round performance in the second T20 against India as they beat the hosts by 40 runs to level the three match T20 series 1-1. Colin Munro hit a blistering unbeaten knock (109*) to help his team raised to 196-2 in 20 overs. Trent Boult took 4 wickets as the New Zealand defeated India in the shortest format of cricket.

Colin Munro smashed not out 109 to help New Zealand beat India in second T20

Chasing a big target of 197, India could not get the start they wanted as Trent Boult dismissed opener Dhawan & Rohit in the 2^nd over.

Virat Kohli & Shreyas Iyer steadied the ship & attacked the Kiwis bowlers as they added 54 runs for the 3^rd wicket partnership.

Shreyas was dismissed for 23 by Munro as he took a stunning catch in his bowling. Hardik Pandya was the next men who departed for 1.

Dhoni & Kohli put some hope in the middle overs. Kohli kept on hitting boundaries but Dhoni had difficulty early on in his innings to hit the ball hard.

Kohli hit his 18^th T20 half century & he became the second highest run scorer in T20 format after Brendon McCullum (2,140).

Kohli was removed in the 17^th over & it was very difficult for Dhoni to chase the target all alone as the required run rate was too much.

Dhoni hit few late boundaries but the game went away from India. He fell for 49 in the final over to Boult. In the end India fell short by 40 runs.
