Sony holds cricket Australia rights for six years:
Sony
has bagged Australia broadcast rights for the Indian subcontinent including
Pakistan & Sri Lanka for next 6 years, starting with the Ashes series in
2017-18.
SPN holds cricket Australia broadcast rights for 6 years
Sony
has made a deal with Australia cricket that includes the Big Bash League. Sony
will also live telecast the tours by India, Pakistan & South Africa in
addition to the 2021-22 Ashes. Sony will also hold the digital rights.
SPN
also bagged the media rights for women’s international cricket played in
Australia & the women Big Bash League.
Sony
lost the IPL rights to Star India, now holds the Indian telecast rights for
cricket played in Australia, South Africa, UAE & other countries.
Sony
Pictures Networks have a tie up with the cricket boards of Pakistan, Sri Lanka,
South Africa, West Indies & Zimbabwe.
SPN
already have a tie up with the cricket boards of Sri Lanka, Pakistan, West
Indies, South Africa and Zimbabwe.

ensuring that the viewer has continuous cricketing action, all through the

women's team, and the men's and women's Big Bash. One of Australian cricket's

that we can keep growing the game, and the six-year deal with SPN is part of
that strategy."
