bowler Junaid Khan is expected to join Multan Sultans which is the new
franchise of PSL.
Junaid
Khan was in Peshawar Zalmi squad & he played two seasons but he was not
included in the Peshawar Zalmi squad for PSL 3 that was announced on Thursday.

Multan
Sultans wants to include Junaid Khan in the squad after Peshawar Zalmi
requested management to demote his category from Gold to Silver.
A
source said, “All the franchises requested to relegate categories of some
players, during the process there was an option for other franchises to express
desire in picking the player in the same category,”
“In
one such move, Peshawar requested relegation in Junaid’s category and he soon
received an offer from Multan Sultan to be picked in the same category,”.
The
source added that Multan Sultans also want to pick Shoaib Malik & Keiron
Pollard.
“They’ll
pick a couple of foreigners, but from the released players Multan Sultans is
eying more on picking Pakistani players,” the source further added.
Karachi
Kings wanted to drop Imad Wasim & Babar Azam from Gold category.
Multan
went to pick Imad Wasim in the same category but later on gave up their
interest.
Another
PSL team wanted to pick Babar Azam in the same category but Karachi Kings
withdrew the downgrading request to keep him in the same category.
