Chief
selector of Pakistan cricket team, Inzamam-ul-Haq noticed that everyone was targeting
the selection of Imam-ul-Haq in Pakistan ODI team against Sri Lanka during
press conference on Friday. He boldly admitted that he is Imam’s uncle but it
is the selection board who finalizes the squad after consultation with head
coach & skipper Sarfraz Ahmed.

Inzamam-ul-Haq
said in a press conference, "Yes, I am the uncle of Imam ul Haq."
“I
have selected 15 players for the one-day team but everyone is focusing only on
Imam,"
He
added that Imam-ul-Haq has been performing in the domestic cricket.
Inzamam-ul-Haq
is hopeful that Pakistan young team will perform at their best on the ground.
"We
cannot select a batsman only on the criteria that he is the highest
scorer," the chief selector told while he was pointing Haris Sohail
instead of the highest runner in the Pakistan domestic cricket.
“Talent,
batting skills, and technique are also to be considered for the selection of
any player”.
The
chief selector explained that they worked hard with Sohail since the last 6
months before the final selection.
Inzamam
further discussed that a player learns a lot through locker room talks &
training by senior coaches.
