Hashim Amla received crowd cheers & support at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore:
It
is something rare for any player when he comes to bat, he receives the support
of the opposition crowd. Hashim Amla is one of those cricketer who received the
support of Lahori crowds during both T20 matches against Pakistan even though
he was taking the game away from the hosts. Hashim Amla played for World XI against
Pakistan & his team had been provided the kind of hospitality they never
received on any tour before.

Loud
cheers for World XI at Gaddafi Stadium proved that Pakistan was a supporter of World
XI as well that included players from 7 different countries & the team was
led by Faf du Plessis.
Amla
received the support of cricket fans in Gaddafi Stadium Stadium & he
expressed his feelings in front of media after the second T20 of Independence
Cup, “I have never experienced that and I think most of the players have their
name shouted out by the crowd at one stage or the other, it was quite
surprising.”.
“But,
the crowd support has been great here,” Amla added.
South
Africa former captain hit 2 sixes & 5 fours to make 72 not out to help his
team beat Pakistan in second T20.
Hashim
Amla had wonderful experience during the first two T20 matches & he is excited
to be part of touring side.
“Experience
here has been fantastic, I speak for all the World XI players because we have
been looked after really well,”
“The
hospitality and warmth we received from the general public has been
overwhelming, we are happy that we came,”
“I
am sure when all five of us go back, the SA board will probably ask us about
our experience here. And we all will be honest that we had a great experience,”
“But
I am sure there are a lot of other things that are going to be in place. It is
not up to us, we will give our feedback and leave it to our boards and everybody
else to decide,” Amla said.
