Sri Lanka agreed to play Twenty20s in Pakistan:
Sri Lanka’s cricket board has finally approved a tour to Pakistan after 8 years, when the team was attacked in Lahore & since then no international team has visited Pakistan except Zimbabwe in 2015.
Sri Lanka Cricket chief told after a security assessment, the squad will play 3 T20s & at least one of them will be played in Lahore.
The Sri Lanka Cricket board earlier sent security experts to Pakistan & they made an assessment on the security at Pakistan & things being safe with improving all over the country & especially Lahore is cleared.
Revival of Cricket in Pakistan as Sri Lanka approved PCB request to play T20 in Pakistan
Sri Lanka will play three T20 matches against Pakistan & at least one of them will be played at Lahore.
Sri Lanka also went through harsh times when the capital was bombed in 1990s that stopped international tours to Sri Lanka. Pakistan & India stood by Sri Lanka' side & now they want to repay for what Pakistan did for them.
PCB thanked SLC President for their upcoming tour of T20 series to Pakistan. PCB welcomed the arrival of Sri Lanka cricket team.
PCB wrote on Twitter, "Thank you Mr. Thilanga Sumathipala. We look forward to hosting you and the Sri Lankan team".
PCB chairman Najam Sethi showed his expressions is a row of tweets.
Najam Sethi wrote on Twitter, "PCB welcomes statement by SLC President to hold couple of T20 matches in Pak at the conclusion of their series in UAE in October 2017."
Since 2009, the only team that visited Pakistan is Zimbabwe, who played 5 limited overs matches in Lahore in 2015. Since Lahore attacks, Pakistan have been playing their home series in UAE.
The big step to revival of cricket was taken when Pakistan staged the final of PSL in Lahore.
