Shadab shines as Knight Riders beat St Lucia Stars in a low scoring match:

Riders beat St Lucia Stars by 4 wickets in a thrilling match. St Lucia Stars
batted first & they scored 118 for 9 in 20 overs. In reply Knight Riders
chased a low total when they had 6 gone for 120. The outstanding bowling (1-16)
of Shadab Khan rewarded him once again the man of the match trophy but this
time he was the leading highest run scorer for Knight Riders (30*) too.

Khan finished with stunning bowling figures of 1 for 16 in four overs.

The
three spinners of Knight Riders Pierre, Shadab & Narine shared 3-48 b/w
them off 12 overs, limiting St Lucia Stars to only 118-9 in 20 overs. Shadab
then contributed in batting too when he made not out 30 off 33 balls after
Knight Riders lost their top batting order early. Knight Riders had 52-5 &
then a 45 runs partnership b/w Shadab & Searles, lifted Knight Riders to
their second victory in the series.
Knight Riders spinners bowled 5 Powerplay overs in the match.
The pitch was rather more sluggish when Pierre had the ball & he cutted
down the runs in the beginning over. Pierre with his low pace dismissed Charles
in the second over. The spinners had complete control in the match. Shadab also
took 1 wicket.
After St Lucia Stars were restricted to 118-9, Shadab did
his best approaching a small target. He made 30 not out to lift his team to
120-6. He played sensibly & hit some brilliant shots too.
