Virat Kohli promised not to repeat such sort of bad performance:
Team
India captain Virat Kohli told media that his team will not repeat the sort of worst
show that cost them heavily in the first Test resulting in India lost by a
massive margin of 333 runs. The match was over within 3 days which ended India 19
Test match winning streak.
Before
the 2nd Test Kohli said that the team had learned lesson from the tragedy.
Kohli
made a promise that the fans will not see such performance from Indian side
again.
Kohli
added that it is crucial to accept loss. The team did not show much intention
towards winning at Pune. Australia played well & it is good to accept loss
if you go by your ego or ignore it, it will influence you only. It does not
mean that losing one Test will cost you the rest of the matches too.
Kohli
told that it was an unusual combined loss for the entire team.

said that sometimes such losses are required to let you know where you lacked.
With team India it happened exceptionally as the complete squad did not show
performance & exactly that happened at Pune. Virat & his team had
learned a lesson from that defeat.
He
added that the preparation remains the same either they win or lose. The
intensity is still the same even if they win or lose a match.
When
asked about any changes to playing XI in the next Test, Kohli replied that they
will prepare themselves with combination that will be finalized today. Tomorrow
there could be some surprises too.
Kohli
stated that all rounder Pandya will not be selected for the upcoming Test due
to injury but the rest of the players are fit.
The
current Australian side was considered the weakest Australia team before the
India tour but they have really surprised everyone with their outstanding team performance.
When
Virat was asked about how the team will tackle Smith then he replied that India
is not focusing on any individual rather they are targeting the entire squad
& it is important to win when you have potential to defeat the entire team.
He
added that in order to win you need to take all ten wickets twice in a Test
match.
