Keeper Kamran Akmal lifted Peshawar Zalmi into PSL final after beating Karachi
Kings by 24 runs. Kamran Akmal became the 2nd batsman who hit a
century is PSL. There is still doubt whether his foreign teammates will go to
Lahore for PSL 2017 final or not.
The
final between Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators will be played at Lahore on
Sunday. 5 of the foreign players from Quetta Gladiators opt out of the tour due
to bomb blasts in Lahore last week. The bomb blast killed 22 people and injured
over 100.
England
trio Jordan, Patel & Malan in addition to West Indies favorite Sammy &
Samuels are all foreign players playing for Peshawar Zalmi. Now it’s a big question
mark whether these stars will appear in PSL final or not?
The
foreign players in Quetta Gladiators who will not appear in PSL final include
Pietersen, Wright, Mills, McCullum & Rossouw.
Peshawar
Zalmi’s owner Javed Afridi said that all foreign players will play the final in
Lahore because Pakistan government promised VIP security arrangements.
Kamran maiden century in PSL
In
the semi final Kamran crushed the Karachi Kings with his first ever hundred in
PSL (104 off 65 balls). His innings includes 7 massive sixes & 6 fours that
raised Zalmi to 181-3 in their respective 20 overs match.
Wahab
Riaz bowled outstanding clipping 3-24 as Kings only posted 157-7 in their 20
overs.
Pollard hit 26 ball 47 & Imad Wasim scored 24 for the
sixth wicket partnership of 62 that put a hope in Karachi Kings team but they were
both gone within a space of 2 runs.
Gayle managed to score 1 run off the 9th delivery
but played some good shots later. He scored 31 off 40 balls & his inning
includes 4 sixes & 2 boundaries.
