The second playoff was played between Islamabad United and Karachi Kings at Sharjah.

Islamabad United won the toss and chose to field first.

Rumman Raees took 4 wickets as Karachi Kings were all out for 126 in the 2nd play-off of PSL 2017 at Sharjah. The bowlers made a record of 13 consecutive dot balls in the beginning of the Karachi Kings inning. Babar & Gayle then played some brilliant shots that lifted the score to 42 in 6 overs. They lost their wickets back to back & the scoring rate dropped once again.

Karachi Kings could not make big partnerships & they failed to stay long on the crease and their entire team scored no more than 126 runs in limited over match.

Superb bowling by Karachi Kings facilitated them to defend a low total to get back into the tournament. Karachi Kings will play their next match against Peshawar Zalmi in the 2nd eliminator & the winner will qualify to the final.

Islamabad United started their inning well but they were troubled in the middle & they lost several wickets that put lots of pressure on the batsmen. The ball was coming low in the 2nd inning that was the major problem for the batsmen. Apart from good bowling from Islamabad, their batsmen could not perform well.

Asif Ali made 39, who was the top scorer from Islamabad United. None of the other batsman played a big inning.

126 is the lowest total defended in the PSL so far & the credit goes to Mohammad Amir, Imad Wasim & Usama Mir.
