Karachi Kings beat Islamabad United in PSL 2017 second Playoff by 44 runs:
The
second playoff was played between Islamabad United and Karachi Kings at
Sharjah.
Islamabad
United won the toss and chose to field first.
Rumman
Raees took 4 wickets as Karachi Kings were all out for 126 in the 2nd
play-off of PSL 2017 at Sharjah. The bowlers made a record of 13 consecutive
dot balls in the beginning of the Karachi Kings inning. Babar & Gayle then
played some brilliant shots that lifted the score to 42 in 6 overs. They lost their wickets back to back & the scoring rate dropped once again.
Karachi
Kings could not make big partnerships & they failed to stay long on the
crease and their entire team scored no more than 126 runs in limited over
match.
Superb
bowling by Karachi Kings facilitated them to defend a low total to get back
into the tournament. Karachi Kings will play their next match against Peshawar
Zalmi in the 2nd eliminator & the winner will qualify to the
final.

Islamabad
United started their inning well but they were troubled in the middle & they lost several wickets that put lots of pressure on the batsmen. The ball was
coming low in the 2nd inning that was the major problem for the
batsmen. Apart from good bowling from Islamabad, their batsmen could not perform well.
Asif
Ali made 39, who was the top scorer from Islamabad United. None of the other batsman
played a big inning.
126
is the lowest total defended in the PSL so far & the credit goes to Mohammad Amir, Imad
Wasim & Usama Mir.
