South Africa beat Australia in WACA Test:
South Africa secured a series lead by beating Australia in first test in WACA, Perth, Australia by 177 runs. South Africa has never lost a test match in Perth, win in this game is an extension of their excellent record in WACA. South Africa won test series in 2008 and 2012, If Proteas with this test series then it will be a historic win for South Africa beating Australia in three successive test series at home. Australia team will be really disappointed after losing first test match of Summer. Aussie proudly held the record of not losing first test match of summer at home soil for past 28 years. South Africa beat Australia in WACA test and broke Australian record. South Africa had their foot on Australia throat right after the second day of WACA test. Australian batting collapsed from 158/0 to 244 all out which is their worse batting collapse at home soil. South African batting in second innings made the difference and helped South Africa win first Test match of tour of Australia.
Australian batsman had a good start but they couldn't convert their innings to big total. David Warner got out for 97 in first innings and Usman Khwaja was out for 97 in second innings. South African batsman scored two hundreds in their innings which is the major difference between batting of both sides. South Africa was without their spearhead bowler Dale Steyn for most part of their bowling. Philander took the charge in Australian first batting innings and young Kagiso Rabada led the attack in second innings. Steyn injury brought South African team together and Rabada exploit cracks in the pitch to get his 5 for. South Africa were out of game on Day 2nd but they recovered fast and minimized Australia first inning lead to only 2 runs. South Africa second inning total was never in range of Australia and it is the best win for South Africa, considering their position after two days of play.

SA 1st Innings: South Africa won the toss and elected to bat first. Start wasn't good for South Africa, their batting collapsed right in the start of innings. South Africa lost first wicket for 0 runs, 2nd wicket for 5 runs and they were 5 down for only 81 runs. Quinton de Kock rescued the team and scored 84 runs with support from Bavuma for his 51 runs. South Africa was bowled out for 242 runs in 63.4 overs. Mitchell Starc took 4 wickets and Hazlewood took 3 wickets.
AUS 1st Innings: Australia played attacking cricket, openers scored 158 runs. David Warner played a good knock of 97 runs from just 100 balls. But Australian batting collapsed after loss of Warner wicket which is also worse batting collapse for Australia on home ground. Australia lost 4 batsman for duck and were all out for 244 runs in 70.2 overs with just 2 runs lead. Dale Steyn took the first wicket of Warner and fractured his right shoulder shortly after that. Steyn won't be part of remainder of test series. Philander lead South African bowling attack and took 4 wickets and was supported by debutant Maharaj (left-arm orthodox) with 3 wickets.
SA 2nd Innings: South Africa second innings opening partnership was bit of improvement, first wicket fell for 12 runs but opener Elgar carried ON to score 127 runs. JP Duminy didn't score 100 in his past 12 innings. This match changed his fortune and fortune of South Africa, Duminy scored 141 runs and put 3rd wicket partnership of 250 runs with Elgar. Wicket start falling quickly and South Africa lost 6 wickets for 352 runs. With Steyn injured, SA were 1 batsman short and it felt like they won't even make 390 runs. But South African innings carried ON and some valuable partnerships were made by Tail-Enders. de Kock 64 runs and Philander 73 guide South Africa to 540 runs for loss of 8 wickets and 2nd innings was declared. Australian bowlers spend a hard day bowling 160 overs in scorching heat at Perth on a 37 degree day. Hazlewood, Marsh and Siddle took two wickets each while Starc only took 1 wicket.
AUS 2nd Innings: Target of 539 runs was always a tough one for Australian batsman to chase. Both batsman were out for 52 runs and Australia end their 4th day of test match with 4 wickets down for 169 runs. Usman Khwaja provided some resistance on day 5 with 97 runs and got out to part time bowler Duminy. Australia were all out for 361 runs in 119.1 overs. Australian 2nd innings was dominated by Kagiso Rabada, who took 5 wickets with economy rate of under 3 and became Player of the match.
