Pakistan v New Zealand Hamilton Test
Pakistan tour of New Zealand 2nd test at Hamilton is played on a green pitch. Rain effected the 2nd test match and only 21 overs before bowled. Pakistan strike twice to reduce New Zealand to 77 for loss of two wickets. Pakistan won the toss and chose to field first to exploit favorable bowling conditions. Azhar Ali is the stand-in captain for Pakistan in this test match after Misbah suspension due to slow over rate in Christchurch test. A win or draw will be enough for New Zealand their first test series against Pakistan since 1985. Pakistan hasn't lost a test series since August 2014. Results of this series will greatly effect ranking of Pakistan and New Zealand in ICC test ranking. Pakistan v New Zealand Hamilton test will definitely turn out to be an exciting test match.
1st Day: Pakistan would have expected much better results than what was achieved on first day of game. I would say 1st day belong to New Zealand, they did very well to score 77 runs and lost only 2 wickets. J Raval is still batting on 35 with a life earlier in his innings and provided his recent form, Raval will be a threat to Pakistan. Bowlers were either too short or too wide on first day, Pakistan couldn't utilize conditions properly and finished the day with an average performance. Mohammad Amir and Sohail Khan shared one wicket each.
2nd Day: Play on second day will start half an hour early at 10:30 am. A bit of sunshine but rest of sky is covered with clouds. New Zealand are 85/2 and no real movement can be seen from PAK bowlers. Some seam movement for Sohail Khan resulted in inside edge of Taylors bat. Early wicket for Pakistan, NZ 90/2 in 25 overs. Despite some poor fielding and dropped catches, Pakistani bowlers did well to restrict New Zealand to 271 all out. Raval scored 55 and Watling 49 not out, rest of batsman chipped in with some double figures. Pakistani batsman collapsed once again, demon from 1st match followed them to Hamilton. Only two batsman could manage to get to double figures. Babar Azam not out on 34 and Asad Shafiq out on 23 runs. Pakistan finished 2nd day of test match on 76/5. Pakistan is still 195 runs behind, they will have to remove this deficit in order to stay alive in test match.
3rd Day: Babar on 34 along with his partner Sarfaraz on 9 runs will face Kiwi seamers on Day 3 of test match. Babar Azam unbeaten 90 runs on Day 3 minized deficit, No other Pakistani batsman could score decent runs. Pakistan all out for 216 runs.
4th Day: New Zealand batsman looked in command on 4th day of test match, Latham scored 80 runs and Taylor scored a century. Captain Williamson chipped in with 40 runs. Kiwi batsman made it look like a good batting wicket. New Zealand delcared on 313 for 5 from 85.3 runs, leaving Pakistan a massive target of 369 runs to chase.
5th Day: Pakistani batsman started really well on final day of test match. Openers look very settled, Pakistan lost first wicket on 131 runs while trying to chase the target. Pakistan started to score fast in pursue of a win. Sami Aslam scored 91 runs and captain Azhar Ali got out on 58 runs. None of the other batsman could score 20 runs, they all got to double figures but couldn't carry on. Pakistani batsman under a lot of pressure, they switched tactics and now are tyring to save the game. Four of the last six batsmen got out for 0. Pakistan all out for 230 runs and lost the test match by 138 runs.
