Misbah ul Haq broke Imran Khan record of most capped-test captain of Pakistan cricket team. Legendary captain Imran Khan led Pakistan cricket test team in 48 matches. Misbah is now the leading test captain in terms of matches and success for Pakistan. Misbah was appointed captain of Pakistan test team in 2010. Two main reason that makes Misbah ul haq the greatest test captain of Pakistan side. First reason is his record and Pakistan win statistics speaks for itself. Pakistan has won more matches under Misbah captaincy compared to any other Pakistani test captain. Second reason that Misbah is greatest Pak test captain is that he took over captaincy after two major disasters that hit Pakistan cricket. One is terrorist attack on Sri Lanka cricket team bus in 2009 that jolted whole cricket world. No international test matches has been played in Pakistan since then. Other disaster was when Salman Butt, Mohammad Amir and Mohammad Asif got banned from playing cricket after involvement in spot fixing. Task of captaining Pakistan cricket team was assigned to Misbah and he proved that he is worthy of such a responsibility.
