Sheffield Shield Matches and Team 2016-17

Sheffield Shield Fixture and Squad 16-17:

First-Class tournament, Sheffield Shied fixture includes 27 matches played between 6 interstate teams. Tournament will span over 5 months with some break (KFC Big Bash League). Sheffield Shield competition is contested in double round robin format. Every team will play every other team in two home and two away matches. Duration of regular matches in only four days, however final of the match which will be played between top two teams will last for five days. Final of Sheffield Shield will be played on March 26, 2017.

Sheffield Shield Squad:

Six teams from each state of Australia will particpate in Sheffield Shied Tournament which is recognized as First Class tournament by ICC.

Queensland Squad: Queensland team will be led by Usman Khawaja, rest of the squad includes Joe Burns, Marnus Labuschagne, Charlie Hemphrey, Peter Forrest, Jason Floros, Chris Hartley, Michael Neser, Ben Cutting, Luke Feldman, Mitch Swepson, Peter George.

New South Wales Squad: Australian skipper will be leading New South Wales team, NSW squad includes David Warner, Ed Cowan, Kurtis Patterson, Ryan Carters, Ryan Gibson, Moises Henriques, Peter Nevill, Mitchell Starc, Trent Copeland, Nathan Lyon, Josh Hazlewood, Doug Bollinger.

Victoria Squad: Matthew Wade is captain of Victoria team, remaining squad includes Travis Dean, Marcus Harris, Aaron Finch, Peter Handscomb, Cameron White, Marcus Stoinis, Glenn Maxwell, Peter Siddle, Chris Tremain, Scott Boland, Jon Holland.

Tasmania Squad: Sheffield Shield team of Tasmania will be captain by George Bailey, remaining players are Ben Dunk, Caleb Jewell, Beau Webster, Alex Doolan, Jake Doran, James Faulkner, Simon Milenko, Cameron Stevenson, Jackson Bird, Cameron Boyce, Andrew Fekete.

Western Australia Squad: WA team in Sheffield Shield tournament will be led by Adam Voges. Remaining players in squad are Cameron Bancroft, Shaun Marsh, Michael Klinger, Jon Wells, Mitchell Marsh, Josh Inglis, Hilton Cartwright, Sam Whiteman, Ashton Agar, David Moody, Ryan Duffield, Jason Behrendorff, Nathan Rimmington.

South Australia Squad: Travis Head will be leading SA team in Sheffield Shield cup. Rest of squad includes Jake Weatherald, Kelvin Smith, Callum Ferguson, Jake Lehmann, Tom Cooper, Alex Carey, Joe Mennie, Kane Richardson, Adam Zampa, Chadd Sayers and Daniel Worrall.
