Pakistan beat Australia Army Cricket Team:
Australian army cricket team traveled Pakistan to play Pakistan Army v Australian Army T20 series 2016. T20 series consist of 3 twenty 20 matches, starting from 18th of October to 22nd of October 2016. Pakistan army cricket team won T20 series by 3-0. Pakistan army is hosting PACES (Physical Agility and Combat Efficiency System) program for the first time. Australian army cricket team toured Pakistan on special invitation of Chief of Army staff General Raheel Sharif. All twenty20 matches were played in Lahore, Pakistan. Special security is provided to Australian cricket team during their stay in Pakistan.
PAK Army v AUS Army T20 Results:
First T20: Pakistan army cricket team beat Australian Army cricket team by 4 wickets in 1st T20 played at Garrison Stadium, Lahore on 18-10-2016.
Second T20: Pakistan army defeated Australian army cricket team by 107 runs in 2nd T20 match played at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore on 21-10-2016.
Third T20: 3rd and last T20 match between Australian army team and Pakistan army team at Gymkhana cricket ground, Lahore.
Australian Army Practice Session:
Australian army cricket team had an indoor net practice at the NCA (National Cricket Academy), Lahore on 18th of October. Captain of Australia army cricket team Craig Holmes said, “Our prime target is to defeat the PCB XI in the second match which will be played at the Gaddafi Stadium on Friday (21st October). Craig stated that matches with the Pakistan team would be beneficial for them before the start of cricket season in Australia". Craig also added, “We still cherish the hospitality of Pakistan Army during our tour last year. We are thankful for the excellent security arrangement in place for our team”. Hospitality is part of Pakistan culture and Aussie team was happy the way they were treated. Australian army won hearts of Pakistani people when they did Bhangra dance at Wagah border.
Australian army cricket team last tour of Pakistan was in April 20, 2015. Pakistan and Australia army cricket series 2015 consist of 1 one day match and two T20. Pakistan army won all three matches (1 one day and 2 Twenty20) of the series 2015. On going Pakistan v Australia army cricket series will improve friendship between both countries.
