Afghanistan Cricket new Head Coach:
Afghanistan cricket board has made an announcement of hiring new head coach after Inzamam-Ul-Haq resignation. Indian former cricketer Lalchand Rajput has been hired as new head coach and his new assignment will be coming up soon. He was manager of Indian team when they won ICC World Cup Twenty20 in 2007. Afghanistan will tour Europe in July and August. They will play 7 ODI's against Scotland and Ireland. Afghanistan will then play Intercontinental cup match against Netherlands. |

Application list for head coach consist of former cricket legend like Herschelle Gibbs, Corey Collymore and Mohammad Yousuf. Lalchand recommendation for head coach position came from Indian cricket board. European tour results will decide Lalchand tenure time, it is supposed to be 2 year contract but not confirmed at the moment. His previous coaching experience and time spent with India U19 team would bring some hope to Afghanistan success in upcoming tour.
