James Anderson doubtful for 1 Test:
England right arm fast bowler James Anderson is doubtful for first Test match against Pakistan at Lords. He is one of the most fearsome and skillful player in English cricket history. His stress fracture of right shoulder blade would keep him away from any involvement in county cricket and could miss out on 1st Test match as well. This news is a big blow to England team and fans but would be welcoming for Pakistan team. Jimmy offered a lot of challenges to Sri Lanka team in recently concluded Test series where batsmen struggle to face his pace and swing. He claimed 21 wickets at an average of 10.80. However, he has lowest average against Pakistan, 45 wickets in 10 matches at 17. Ben Stokes would be most likely to replace Jimmy, who himself came out of injury recently.![]() |
Jimmy will miss out 1st Test against Pakistan |
Jimmy had some injuries last year as well and he is working hard on his fitness in order to extend his Test career. If he play for few more years then no doubt he will be able to get to 600 wickets mark. He is currently leading England's leading wicket taker in Test, surpassing Ian Botham 383 wickets.
