West Indies to visit Pakistan in March 2018 for T20 series:
Pakistan postponed T20 series against West Indies that was
scheduled in November this year to March 2018 due to bad weather.
West Indies to tour Pakistan in March 2018 for three match T20 series
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief Najam Sethi updated us
with the new dates of T20 matches. The first T20 will be played on 29 March
followed by second T20 on 31 March & the series final will be on 1 April
2018.
Najam Sethi said at a press conference, "The weather
conditions were not conducive so we did not take any risk and next year a
full-strength West Indies team will play three Twenty20 matches on March 29, 31
and April 1,".
Smoke & fog has put people life at risk in Lahore
& it would have affected the upcoming T20 series but thanks to PCB chief who
delayed the series till March next year.
Pakistan was hoping to restore international cricket in
Pakistan with the three match T20 series. The terrorism in the country has put
fear in the minds of foreign cricketers who have been refusing to visit
Pakistan for past 8 years.
Sri Lanka became the only high profile team to play an
international T20 match in Pakistan.
PCB chief further updated us that PCB & Cricket West
Indies will play T20 series for next 5 years.
"Pakistan and West Indies boards have signed an
agreement to play a series of T20 each year for the next five years, first in
Pakistan and then in the United States subject to the availability of the venue
and dates," said Najam.
Najam Sethi is looking for the third team that will be
invited to the USA for tri series.
PCB has signed an agreement with West Indies for a series of
Twenty20 that will be played in Pakistan & USA for 5 years.
West Indies Cricket
Board has confirmed that the entire team will visit Pakistan for T20 series
next year.
“West Indies has confirmed that its full team will tour
Pakistan next year to play three T20Is to on March 29th, 31st, April 1st,”
Sethi added.
