Players list included in PSL 2018 Draft released:

The Pakistan Super League (PSL) will hold its draft on Sunday & a list of 501 players are included in the PSL draft. The list contains around 200 foreign players.

PSL 2018 will also include a 6th team Multan Sultans.

The teams will enter Sunday’s draft to choose 1 Platinum, 1 Diamond, 2 Gold, 2 Silver & 2 Emerging players each in the 16 player’s squads. Team has the opportunity to choose up to 4 players in the Supplementary rounds.

Only 1 Pakistani player, Ahmed Shehzad features in the platinum category which has 21 players for the draft.

Each team will have a salary cap of $1.2 million for a squad of 20 cricketers.

Top players of Pakistan U-19 & the players who showed brilliant performance in the U-19 Pentangular Cup are included in the Emerging list.

The players to be selected in PSL Player Draft are split into 5 key categories.

Teams may also suggest Talent Hunt Discovery picks. These nominations include cricketers uncovered during Jazz talent hunt programs who do not meet the criteria as Emerging players.

Top players that are included in the PSL Draft are Chris Lynn, JP Duminy, Imran Tahir, Carlos Brathwaite, Shane Watson, Dwayne Bravo, Jimmy Neesham, Angelo Mathews, Mustafizur Rahman, Mitchell McClenaghan, Mitchell Johnson, Colin Munro, Luke Ronchi, Adil Rashid, Wayne Parnell, Thisara Perera & Colin Ingram.

PSL matches will also be played in Lahore & Karachi in March 2018 & the final will be played in Pakistan.

Foreign players will sign contracts for the PSL 2018, will also have to sign a clause to confirm that they will play matches in Pakistan as well. Players will be granted extra fees of USD 10,000 to 20,000 per match if they visit Pakistan.
