Rangpur Riders secure last ball win over Chittagong Vikings:
Thisara Perera smashed a massive six when three runs were required
of the final ball. With this victory, Rangpur Riders secured fourth spot in BPL
2017 Points Table.
Three runs were needed of the final ball & Perera smashed a six
Rangpur Riders defeated Chittagong Vikings by 3 wickets in
the 28th match of BPL, thanks to Mashrafe Murtaza for his blistering
knock of 42 off 17 balls.
Chittagong Vikings batted first & put a decent total of
176-7 in 20 overs. Stiaan van Zyl scored 68 off 40 balls while Soumya Sarkar, Najibullah
Zadran & Sikandar Raza added 30, 25 & 22 to the total.
Riders build up some good partnerships throughout their
batting to stay on track. Captain Mashrafe Murtaza secured 42 while Mohammad
Mithun & Chris Gayle added 44 & 33.
The game came down to the final over when Thisara Perera struck
sixes on second & last ball of the over to win the match for his team.
Mashrafe Murtaza was declared the man of the match.
