BPL: Victorians crush Riders by 14 runs

Comilla Victorians crush Rangpur Riders by 14 runs:

Imrul Kayes superb batting & the spin duo Mahedi Hasan & Rashid Khan destroyed Riders in the 20^th match of BPL 2017.

Comilla Victorians sweep past Rangpur Riders & rose to second on the table

Comilla Victorians in the end achieved a comprehensive 14 runs victory after restricting Rangpur Riders to 139-7.

Comilla batted first & posted 153-6 in 20 overs. Imrul Kayes smashed 47 off 32 balls with four boundaries & two massive sixes. He was joined by West Indies Marlon Samuels who secured 41 off 34 balls with a strike rate of 120. The rest of the batsmen could not make significant contribution to the team total.

Rangpur Riders who had to chase a decent total were damaged by the spin duo of Madehi Hasan & Rashid Khan. Both the spinners took 4 wickets while 34 runs were conceded from their 8 overs.

Ravi Bopara tried his best but did not prove very threatening. He made 48 off 48 balls with five boundaries.  

Mahedi Hasan received the man of the match award.
