Pakistan sweep Sri Lanka 3-0 in T20 Series 2017:

Pakistan defeated Sri Lanka by 36 runs in the last T20 match at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore tonight & they whitewashed the visitors 8-0 in limited overs format.

Pakistan beat Sri Lanka in third T20 to complete series whitewash

Sri Lanka won the toss & chose to bowl first. Shoaib Malik hit a quick fifty to raise Pakistan to 180 in 20 overs.

The fast bowler Mohammad Amir grabbed four wickets for giving away only 13 runs in four overs.

Malik scored 51 off just 24 deliveries. His innings include 5 fours & 2 sixes. Mohammad Amir was pulled out of the ODI squad due to shin injury & he also did not play the first two T20 matches against Sri Lanka.

Umar Amin was the replacement of Ahmed Shahzad & he scored 45 off 37 balls to kick start Pakistan. He smashed three fours & clears the fence with a six.

Pakistan wants to bring back international cricket on their home soil, no matter the cost. Tight security arrangements have been made to protect the Sri Lanka team.

Pakistan have the edge to clean sweep Sri Lanka in T20 too. Earlier Pakistan whitewashed Sri Lanka 5-0 in ODIs & now Pakistan are 2 up in the three match T20 series. The final T20 match will be played at Gaddafi stadium Lahore today.

Pakistan snatched the victory from the jaws of defeat in the second T20 as Shadab hit a six & a double in the final over to win the match for his team with 1 ball remaining. Sri Lanka faced another limited over defeat & they will try their best to avoid another whitewash.

Pakistan & Sri Lanka cricket teams have not many experienced players. Top players of Sri Lanka were ruled out of T20 squad as they avoided Pakistan tour due to security concerns. Sri Lanka captain Upul Tharanga was pulled out of the tour & Thisara Perera will lead the side in shortest format.

Pakistan have an opportunity of playing cricket in home conditions. The Lahori crowds will watch an international match for the first time at Gaddafi stadium since 2009. The only team that visited Pakistan after Sri Lanka team bus was attacked was Zimbabwe but none of the major teams visited Pakistan.

Ahmed Shahzad has no chance of playing ODI cricket as he is replaced by Imam-ul-Haq who scored a century in his debut. Shehzad is playing T20 due to his better performance against World XI team but he did not perform in the first two T20 matches against Sri Lanka so he is losing his chances of playing in shortest format too.
