India beat New Zealand in third ODI to win the series 2-1:
India 337-6 (Rohit 147, Kohli 113, Santner 2-58)
New Zealand 331-7 (Munro 75, Latham 65, Williamson 64, Bumrah
3-47, Chahal 2-47)
Virat Kohli & his team went through intense pressure
even after posting a big total of 337-6. However, the team went through so many
ups & downs that they finally managed to defeat the Kiwis by just 6 runs in a thriller. India won the third match of the ODI series & they won the
series 2-1.
Virat Kohli hit 32nd ODI hundred against New Zealand
New Zealand have not won any ODI series in India. India
celebrated & they are proud of their consistent performance that they
showed once again after winning the third ODI. This is India’s 7th
consecutive bilateral series win at home.
New Zealand got a perfect start in chasing 338 runs to win. Openers
Colin Munro grabbed 19 runs of the beginning over. The two openers Munro &
Gutill raised New Zealand to 44 in just 5 overs.
During India batting, Rohit Sharma & Virat Kohli secured
tons to take India to 337-6 in 50 overs. Both players became the first ever pair
to complete four double century partnerships in ODIs.
Virat Kohli got past 9000 run mark in ODIs & he is the 6th
batsman to achieve the milestone & the quickest to get there overall.
This is Virat Kohli’s 32nd ton in ODI & his 2nd
of the series against New Zealand.
Rohit Sharma got the player of the match award while Virat Kohli received the player of the series award.
