Pakistan clean sweep Sri Lanka 5-0 in ODI Series:

Pakistan bowled with their full strength as they restricted Sri Lanka to 103 in fifth ODI. Usman Shinwari took a five wicket haul in his career second ODI match & he claimed the first five wickets in Sri Lanka innings. He finished with 5-34 while NLTC Perera (25) was the top scorer for Sri Lanka.

Hasan Ali & Shadab Khan shared four wickets as Pakistan clean sweep Sri Lanka 5-0 in ODI series. Fahim Ashraf replaced Junaid Khan in this match.

Openers Imam-ul-Haq & Fakhar Zaman played a responsible innings. Fakhar Zaman scored 48 in just 47 balls & his innings include seven boundaries. Imam hit the match winning four, & he added 45 runs including four boundaries & a six.

Pakistan head coach Mickey Arthur wanted Pakistan to take a clean sweep on Sri Lanka when the teams met today.

Pakistan have won nine ODI matches in a row & the unpredictable team is playing with consistency since ICC Champions Trophy.

Sri Lanka beat Pakistan 2-0 in Test series & Pakistan have taken revenge as they whitewash the visitors in ODI series.

Mickey Arthur thinks that Pakistan has the potential to win this match. “I will be disappointed if we didn’t make it 5-0,” Arthur said before of the match. “The guys are hungry and they definitely want to do that. The key for us is to maintain our hunger and ruthlessness so we need to keep that momentum and put this series to bed.”

Pakistan have earlier clean sweep five countries & all of them were achieved in five match series. Pakistan clean sweep Zimbabwe in 2002-03, Bangladesh in 2003, New Zealand in 2003-04 & Zimbabwe & Bangladesh in 2008.

Rumman Raees is not included in today’s match & he will not be available in T20 series as he injured his left elbow. Haris Sohail did not pass the fitness Test in Abu Dhabi, Mickey Arthur added.

Pakistan will play three T20 matches against Sri Lanka starting from 26 October 2017. The third T20 match b/w Pakistan & Sri Lanka will be played at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.
