Hasan star in Pakistan victory over Sri Lanka

Hasan Ali & Shoaib Malik guided Pakistan to seven wicket victory over Sri Lanka in first T20:

Medium fast bowler Hasan Ali took 3-23 in 3.3 overs to take the game away from Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka batted first & finished with 102 in 18.3 overs. Pakistan completed a comprehensive seven wicket victory over Sri Lanka in shortest format of cricket.

Usman Khan received player of the match award as Pakistan beat Sri Lanka in first T20

Earlier Pakistan whitewashed Sri Lanka 5-0 in ODI series. Pakistan made a comeback in ODI after losing the Test series against Sri Lanka.

Hasan Ali who received the player of the match award for his 14 wickets in five match ODI series, played with his full potential in first T20 against the visitors.

Prasanna scored unbeaten 23 & Samarawickrama scored 23 to put 102 runs on the board. Sri Lanka team was shattered once again by Pakistani bowlers.

Pakistan lost early wickets but Shoaib Malik & Muhammad Hafeez played till the end to snatch the game from Sri Lanka. This victory gave Pakistan a 1-0 lead in the T20 series.

Shoaib hit 4 boundaries in his unbeaten 42 runs while Hafeez scored unbeaten 25 & his innings include 3 boundaries.

Pakistani bowlers once again guided the team to victory.

Sri Lanka lost wickets gradually in the innings & they were at one stage 51-2 in the 9^th over. Sri Lanka could not survive as they lost the remaining 8 wickets for 51 runs. This is Sri Lanka 2^nd lowest T20 score against Pakistan.

All 6 Pakistani bowlers grab wickets with Hafeez (2-10) & Shinwari (2-24) & Hasan finished with his career best figures (3-23).

Pakistan will play their second T20 match in Abu Dhabi on 27 October & the final T20 will be played on 29 October in Lahore.
