Pakistan
coach Mickey Arthur was upset with the kind of performance showed by Pakistan’s
young team against Sri Lanka.
He expressed
his disappointment during the post match press conference on Monday.

Mickey
Arthur told that Pakistan needed only one big partnership to reach the target.
“Definitely,
we will discuss the poor batting performance in the team meeting,” Arthur said.
Arthur
spoke about Sri Lanka’s 2nd innings & he added that one good
partnership was sufficient for the run chase but unluckily it did not happen.
He
said that the pitch had been deteriorating but the senior players should have
faced the challenge & achieve the target.
Pakistan
batting line-up collapsed against Sri Lanka’s low total of 136 runs.
Arthur
added that Asad Shafique & Azhar Ali are both talented batsmen & they
are the backbone of Pakistan’s batting line-up.
“Asad Shafique is a very good batsman and I
think he should have scored a century,” Arthur added.
The
Pakistan batting was shattered against Sri Lanka in first Test despite a 5
wicket haul by Yasir Shah giving Sarfraz an easy 136 run target.
