Shahid Afridi joins Karachi Kings for PSL 2018:

Former Pakistan cricketer Shahid Afridi will play for Karachi Kings in upcoming Pakistan Super League.

Afridi played for Peshawar Zalmi & he showed outstanding performance in PSL 2 but unluckily missed the PSL final due to injury.

Shahid Afridi joins Karachi Kings for PSL 3

Javed Afirdi, the owner of Peshawar Zalmi praised Shahid Afridi efforts in few words, "Shahid is a world-class player and the entire Peshawar Zalmi family thanks him for his contributions to our team".

"He is like a brother and We wish him the very best of luck in this new journey," Javed Afridi added.

Salman Iqbal, the owner of Karachi Kings expressed his feelings in a few sentences, "Shahid Afridi is the biggest name in Pakistan cricket and we are extremely pleased to have him on board".

Salman Iqbal further said that Afridi has lots of experience.

Afridi had earlier announced in March that he would join a new franchise in PSL 3. He tweeted that he wants to leave Peshawar Zalmi due to personal reasons. He did not elaborate the reason of leaving Zalmi.

Shahid Afridi was the captain of Peshawar Zalmi in PSL first edition & handed over the captaincy to Darren Sammy in PSL 2 & he was also named president of Peshawar Zalmi.
