Sri Lanka sweep Pakistan in Test series at UAE:
Sri Lanka beat Pakistan in 2nd Test by 68 runs to complete series sweep against Pakistan. Sri Lanka won the Test series against Pakistan 2-0 in UAE & Pakistan faced their first series loss on UAE soil since they started to play on a neutral venue.
For the first time Pakistan had been defeated in Test series at UAE since they began to play in UAE. Pakistan had won five out of nine Test matches & drawn four in past 7 years.
Pakistan chased 317 runs target & they lost five early wickets for 52. Fifties from Asad Shafiq & Sarfraz Ahmed helped Pakistan survive day 4 as they were 198-5. Perera finished off with 5-98 & restricted Pakistan to 248.
Asad Shafiq scored his 11th Test century & his knock of 112 put pressure on the opposition. Asad made 6th wicket partnership of 173 runs with Sarfraz who contributed 68 runs.
Pakistan were shaken after the big partnership ended, Sri Lanka who won the first Test by 21 runs, snatched the victory in no time.
Asad Shafiq & Sarfraz Ahmed claimed their fifties in 2nd innings of 2nd Test against Sri Lanka & set up a gripping end to the day/night Test match.

Both
the batsmen made 146 runs 6th wicket partnership & Pakistan
require 119 more runs to win this match & level the Test series. Sri Lanka
defeated Pakistan in first Test by 21 runs.
Asad
& Sarfraz are playing well to defend their unbeaten record in 9 Test series
in UAE.
Sarfraz
is playing his first Test series as a captain & this is the first series of
Pakistan without Misbah & Younis.
Pakistan
play their home series in UAE due to the 2009 attack on Sri Lanka cricket team.
After that incident the foreign countries stopped their players to visit
Pakistan & the country was forced to play their home series on a neutral
venue.
In
the second innings of the Test match, Wahab took 4 wickets for 41 runs &
Haris Sohail removed 3 batsmen in a single over to end Sri Lanka innings for 96
after Sri Lanka resumed the day on 34-5.
Perera
ripped Pakistan in the second innings as he dismissed Haris, Masood & Azam in
quick succession to leave Pakistan in a worse position at 52-5.
Perera
could have removed both Asad & Sarfraz but they were dropped by Mendis at
short leg.
