Patel & Brendan Taylor helped Nottinghamshire reach a big total of 190-4 in
20 overs.
Gurney
was the best bowler for Notts as he removed four batsmen for just 17 runs in 4
overs he bowled.

Notts
had a shaky start as Chris Woakes dismissed the top three batsmen Alex Hales,
Wessels & Moores & Notts at one stage were 30-3.Taylor made a fourth
wicket partnership of 132 with Patel that helped Notts put a big total of 190-4
on board.
Patel
smashed four sixes in 42 balls he faced while Taylor found gaps & hit nine
boundaries in his innings.
Patel’s
played a well deserved knock under pressure & he stayed on the crease for
long & hit regular boundaries.
Taylor
was removed at the start of the 19th over but Notts skipper Dan Christian
completed the innings in style as he smashed 24 runs off 8 balls he faced.
Birmingham
had new addition to the team that includes Dominic Sibley from Surrey, Adam
Hose from Hampshire & Pollock from university cricket.
Pollock
Shone who scored 50 off 27 deliveries in the semi-final could manage to score
only 14 before brilliantly run out by Patel.
Sam
Hein who was the leading run scorer in the series, also produced a brilliant
knock of 72 & hit brilliant boundaries in his blistering innings.
Thomason
who scored 26 provided some gusty blows but could not stand against Nottingham
seam attack.
Birmingham
Bears could not reach the target despite brilliant batting from Sam Hain who
made 72. Sam Hain made a 50+ partnership with Grandhomme but Gurney removed
both of them. Harry Gurney 4-17 restricted Birmingham to 168-8.
Nottingham
Outlaws have the honor to share both domestic limited overs trophies after
their ODI Cup win at Lord’s in July.
