England in the second Test to draw the Test series.

first player in more than 500 first class games at the Leeds ground to make a
ton in both innings.

Hope scored 118* in the second innings as West Indies made 322-5, winning by 5
wickets at the end of the final session of the Test match. His partner
Blackwood helped Hope take the team to victory with a gusty 41 off 45 balls
& Brathwaite did the hard work earlier against the new ball for his 95.
West
Indies last won a Test match in England 17 years ago; they did the hard work
after losing the first Test match.
It was a surprising turnaround after the
visitors lost the first Test match by an innings & 209 runs. The visitors
lost 19 wickets in a single day that concluded the match inside 3 days.
West
Indies chased down the second highest fourth innings total at Headingley to win
a Test match.
Only
Don Bradman’s Australia team in 1948 has achieved more runs in the fourth
innings to win a Test in Leeds.
This
triumph leveled the 3 match Test series 1-1.
