Kagiso Rabada banned for Second Test against England:
South
Africa pace bowler Kagiso Rabada has been banned for second Test against
England. He is banned because he abused Ben Stokes in first Test at Lord’s. The
International Cricket Council ICC announced on Friday that Kagiso Rabada will
miss second Test against England starting next week.
It
is announced by the global governing body that Kagiso Rabada has been suspended
for second Test that will be played at Trent Bridge because his accumulated
demerit points reached 4 within a 24 month period, following his latest
violation of the ICC code of Conduct & he has received 15 percent match
fine & 1 demerit point.
Rabada banned for second Test against England in Trent Bridge
One
of the ICC statement told that Rabada abused Ben Stokes which was audible over
the stump microphones. Ben Stokes turned after he heard such words from Rabada.
According
to one more statement from ICC, Rabada used inappropriate language &
gestures after dismissing Ben Stokes which could provoke a violent response
from Stokes.
Rabada
was warned after his clash with Sri Lanka opener Dickwella during an ODI in
Cape Town. This is the violation to that happening as both players were
reported & given 3 demerit points. ICC told Dickwella & Rabada that if
they receive anymore demerit point within a 24 month period, they would be
suspended & not allowed to play next international match.
South
Africa are in deep trouble as England look dominant in the first Test. The
question is who will replace Rabada in second Test as he is the genuine pace bowler
who has taken 71 wickets in just 17 matches prior to this Test match. Kagiso
Rabada will be missed by South Africa in second Test starting next week in
Trent Bridge.
