Kumble said India failed to play to its potential

India failed to play to its potential against Australia in first Test at Pune, told by Kumble:

India head coach Anil Kumble told that team India did not play to its prospective in the Pune Test as they were defeated by Australia with a huge margin of 333 runs.

The head coach told that India did not understand the Pune pitch conditions & he believes that this was the main reason for the loss of the first Test.

The game was over just within 3 days with spinner Steve who took 6 wickets in each inning.

Kumble summarized the loss to Australia with following words, what occurred at Pune has happened & he thinks that team India did not play as they used to play in Test match. The squad lacked the conditions at Pune & team should have learned the new conditions that came in their path. No doubt team Australia played superb.

India failed to play to its potential in the first Test against Australia at Pune 

Anil Kumble is hopeful that the team will play well in the second match after forgetting what has happened earlier. They still have a chance to come back in the series.

Kumble further said that the entire squad failed in the first Test and we cannot point out any individual.

India head coach is hopeful that the team will play to its potential in the second match and they need to fill those boxes regularly & the outcomes will be in their way.

Leg spinner Steve bowled exceptional & there were several close calls in the middle & it is very untimely to issue the DRS.

The hosts were not much successful with DRS reviews during their fielding although they got one in their favor while batting at Pune Test.

Kumble is confident that they did not mess it up. They had done well in decision review system than England & Bangladesh. When team India called for DRS it was too close and we cannot question team for that & he thinks that they do not have to worry about it.

Kumble said that the Indian team management will not include someone else in place of Rahane who scored just 13 & 18 runs in both the innings.

Kumble further told that we cannot question Rahane because he had done well as it was the failure of the entire team and we cannot punish any individual for that.
