Peshawar Zalmi beat Lahore Qalandars by 17 runs at Dubai:
Outstanding performance by bowlers helped Peshawar Zalmi thrash Lahore Qalandars by 17 runs in the sixteenth match of the PSL 2017 played
at Dubai.
Peshawar Zalmi won the toss and elected to bat first and
they scored a modest total of 167 runs & in reply Lahore Qalandars scored
32 runs in first 2 overs but they lost 6 quick wickets that changed the whole
story.
A partnership was
build up between Narine & Yamin & crowds watched massive sixes and fours.
The stadium was full of Peshawar Zalmi supporters and we do
not witness such crowd in other team matches.
Amazing performance by Peshawar Zalmi bolwers thrash Lahore Qalandars by 17 runs
After wicket no. 7 fell Lahore Qalandars seemed tattering
under strong bowling attack. They lost 9 wickets for scoring 149 runs in 20
overs hence Peshawar Zalmi won their third match & they are now ranked at
the 2nd spot of PSL 2017 ranking table.
From Zalmi squad Hassan & Hafeez shared 2 wickets.
It was the 2nd match between Peshawar Zalmi &
Lahore Qalandars & Zalmi won both matches. They earlier defeated Lahore by
3 wickets in a low scoring match at Dubai.
The next match between Islamabad United & Quetta
Gladiators surprised the fans after a 1 run win by the Islamabad United
that snatched the victory out of the pocket of Quetta Gladiators.
Both Islamabad United & Quetta Gladiators are qualified to playoffs. Lahore Qalandars remain at top spot in PSL 2017 points table while Islamabad United is at no. 2 with 8 points. Peshawar Zalmi with 7 points are ranked at no. 3. With 3 victories out of 7 matches Lahore Qalandars takes the 4th position & Karachi Kings looks struggling as they are down the order in PSL Points Table.
