PCB to Invite West Indies and Sri Lanka:
Pakistan Cricket Board is working hard to bring international cricket back to the country. In an attempt to show it to the world that high class and competitive cricket can be played in Pakistan in a safe way, PCB has decided to stage Final of Pakistan Super League in Lahore. Najam Sethi has called PSL as the first step of bringing international cricket back to Pakistan. According to sources PCB is holding talks with Board of Cricket for Sri Lanka and West Indies Cricket Board to play cricket in Pakistan. According to sources, discussions about hosting matches in Pakistan against Sri Lanka and West Indies are already in progress. After conclusion of PSL 2017, there will be a free window available to schedule some matches and PCB is hopeful of convincing BCCSL and WICB for home pages in Pakistan. PCB wants to invite West Indies and Sri Lanka cricket team to play home series in Pakistan.

In 2015, PCB attempted to host a cricket series after talks with WICB but series was scrapped due to security concerns and PCB has once again started discussion with West Indies Cricket Board. Najam Sethi, head of Pakistan Cricket Board in his recent interview said that top-tier international cricket team will soon tour Pakistan to play bilateral series but didn't want to give further information. Sethi said, “We are in the process, as we speak, of finalizing the dates [of the series]. I won’t say much more than that. And I hope we will give you some good news, soon.” In an attempt to convince foreign cricket teams to tour Pakistan, PCB has already organized safe accommodation for international players at National Cricket Academy (NCA) located adjacent to Gadaffi Stadium Lahore. PCB has also bought 4 bullet proof coaster buses to maximize security for players transportation.
