Pakistan Test Team Arrived in Brisbane

Pakistani cricket team in Brisbane:

After a victory in warm up game against Cricket Australia XI, Pakistani cricket team reached Brisbane from Cairns. Pakistan will play second Day-Night test match in their test history against Australia in Brisbane. It will be first ever D-N test match ever hosted at The Gabba stadium, Brisbane, Australia. Pakistani cricket team will play practice session on Monday and will be match fit for their first Day-Night test encounter against Australia on 15th of December, 2016 at Gabba. Pakistan cricket team arrival in Brisbane will give team three days to practice before they can face Australia in first official Day-Night test match.

Pakistan cricket team is most likely to stick with same combination that won warm up match against CA XI by 201 runs. However, Yasir Shah could be included in the test squad if he recovers from his back injury. According to sources, Yasir Shah will participate in practice session with rest of Pakistani team. Mohammad Amir devastating form with pink ball will be a major threat to Australia. Younas Khan said, “It is (exciting),” “If he gets wickets for us like that, it will be a good competition.” That could be the understatement to end all understatements. Australian batsman has always struggled in the past against moving ball and Mohammad Amir, Rahat Ali and Wahab Riaz are renowned for swing bowling.

Wahab Riaz nasty spell against Australia in ICC World Cup 2015 was highly praised by Australian players. Shane Watson said, "It was pretty nasty, I had a lot of luck to be able to get through that spell." Watson told Fox Sports, "He gave it everything all the way through the whole game. "We knew he was a danger man, he had his tail up and he bowled some nasty balls on the money, a lot of them. "A bit of luck went my way to get through that spell. Pakistan coach Mickey Arthur called Wahab Riaz No. 1 weapon in Australia.

Pakistani test captain Misbah ul Haq is back in the team to lead from the front. Babar Azam inclusion as a test batsman will add some aggression to Pakistan batting line up. Quick runs scoring batsman are always a threat to opposition bowlers. If Pakistan score big runs in first innings then there is a good possibility of winning the game as PAK bowlers had never let the team down so far. Pakistan team early arrival in Brisbane will give them opportunity to get use to weather and pitch condition in Brisbane. They missed out on this opportunity in New Zealand where tour match was washed out due to wet outfield. Swing and Seam bowling conditions can never be better utilized by any other bowlers than Pakistan seam attack.

Pakistan Test Squad for Australia tour: Captain Misbah-ul-Haq is back, Azhar Ali, Sami Aslam, Sharjeel Khan, Younis Khan, Asad Shafiq, Babar Azam, Sarfraz Ahmed (wk), Mohammad Rizwan, Yasir Shah, Mohammad Nawaz, Mohammad Amir, Sohail Khan, Imran Khan, Wahab Riaz and Rahat Ali.
