Virat Kohli Scored 3rd Double Hundred:
Virat Kohli made his third double century in 2016 and become India only batsman to score three double centuries in a calendar year. Virat Kohli achieved this milestone in 4th test against England in Mumbai. Kohli and all rounder Yadav scored 241 runs together for 8th wicket partnership. India highest total for eight wicket was 161 runs partnership. Kohli and Yadav broke this record by scoring extra 80 runs on top of it. Around 22000 viewers were watching India v England 4th test match at Wankhede Stadium, when Kohli displayed his exponent of skill, determination and ability. Virat Kohli is first Indian batsman to score three double centuries in a year.
England scored 400 runs in first innings of 4th test match which was considered a decent score. Indian batsmen especially Virat Kohli proved it wrong to cricket viewers by scoring 235 runs just by himself. India scored 631 runs in their first innings with a lead of 231 runs. India lead five test match series 2-0, one more win means India will seal this test series. Virat Kohli and Jayant Yadav broke heaps of cricket records in Mumbai test match.
Virat Kohli register his name in record list of most double hundred in a year. Kohli scored his third double hundred in 2016. Don Bradman, Ricky Ponting and Brendan McCullum has achieved the same milestone in the past. Michael Clarke is the only batsman with 4 double hundred in test matches in 2012. Kohli has scored 640 runs in this test series so far, which is the highest aggregate total by any Indian batsman against England in history of cricket. Kohli now average 65.50 as a captain scoring 2000 runs which is 2nd to Don Bradman. Kohli over all test average is over 50 now, thanks to such a glorious year for Virat Kohli.
Jayant Yadav become India first batsman to score a hundred while batting at number 9. Only six other teams have achieved this record, India now became the 7th team. So far, Yadav was considered as a spinner, but after playing such a class innings at Wankhede stadium; he has entered his name as all rounder in cricket books.
