New Zealand sealed ODI Series against Bangladesh:
New Zealand beat Bangladesh in 2nd ODI and won the ODI series 2-0 with one more game to go. A win or loss for Bangladesh in the final game won't effect the result of series. However, it will definitely help them keep their ODI rating margin higher to that of Pakistan and West Indies for few more weeks. New Zealand ODI rating after winning this series has improved, they are number 4 with 110 rating. A win in last game means their ratings will be a tie with India '111'. Bangladesh ODI ratings is 92, a win will see their rating go up to 95 while a loss will result in rating of 91, which will be 2 rating points over Pakistan. A batting collapse for Bangladesh in both matches was turning point. Visitors couldn't get out of pressure created by New Zealand bowlers and succumbed to comprehensive defeat. New Zealand won ODI series against Bangladesh and it would be great ending to their calendar year.
New Zealand beat Bangladesh in 2nd ODI match by 67 runs while hosts defeated visitors by 77 runs in 1st ODI. Bangladesh senior batsman could be blame in both defeats as they played silly shots at wrong time. However, Kiwi's discipline bowling couldn't be ignored either. Bangladesh were 105/1 while chasing target of 252, one run-out turned things around. And Bangladesh lost their last 9 wickets for only 79 runs. Credit goes to New Zealand tight bowling and superb fielding; and some irresponsible batting by senior Bangladeshi batsman.
New Zealand would be happy with the result of this ODI series. They lost to India and then Australia in previous ODI encounters recently. A series win over Bangladesh would definitely heal their wounds. Broom returned after six years came with a maiden ton; seems like New Zealand selectors finally discover the gem they have been searching for a while. Players to watch in this series would be Neil Broom for New Zealand and Nurul Hasan for Bangladesh. Neil Broom rescued New Zealand with his maiden century and Nurul Hasan wicket keeping and 24 runs would be exciting for Bangladeshi and cricket fans.
