Younis Rise to No. 2 ICC Test Batsman Rank:
Younis Khan moved to number 2 in ICC Test Batsman ranking after scoring a century against West Indies in 2nd test match. Younus Khan was unfit for first test match due to illness but his return to test match was like if he never stopped playing cricket. Younas Khan fitness and form speaks for itself. Before test match against West Indies, Younas was ranked at number 5 (837 rating) in ICC test batsman ranking. But after his 127 runs in first innings and 29 not out in second innings, Younas Khan moved to number 2 in ICC test batting ranking.
Younis Khan was ranked number 1 test batsman in March 2009 and this is the only time since then he moved up to no. 2 ranking in test batting. Australian skipper Steven Smith is current top batsman in test ranking, however margin is too short now. Younis Khan is only 46 points behind Smith in test batting ranking. Apart from Younis Khan, Pakistan skipper Misbah-ul-Haq moved up to number 10 ranking while Asad Shafiq moved to no. 14 test batting ranking. Younas Khan new ICC rating is 860 points which makes him number 2 best batsman in test cricket.
If Younis Khan score well in third and last test match against West Indies and gain another 46 odd rating then he is most likely to replace Steven Smith at number 1 position. After a successful comeback Younis rises three places to No. 2. Younis went passed Kane Williamson, Joe Root and Hashim Amla to get to number 2 spot in test batting ranking.
