Afridi Took Matter to Court:
Shahid Afridi has sent a legal notice to veteran Javed Miandad. After getting involved in ugly war of words, Afridi apologized to Miandad for disrespecting him. However, Afridi asked Miandad to take his words back when he called Shahid Khan Afridi a match fixer. Miandad hasn't said anything since then and Afridi decided to take legal matter to court now. Mohammad Naeem, who is Afridi's legal counselor served a legal notice to Javed Miandad about match fixing allegations. Legal notice requires Miandad to provide proof that Shahid Afridi has fixed matches in the past, If Miandad fails to provide any evidence then legal action will be taken against him.
Shahid Afridi was talking to journalist in Karachi when one of them mentioned that Miandad said that Afridi wants a farewell match for money. Afridi lashed out and said, "Money has always been an issue for Javed Miandad". Afridi also said that fan loves him and that's all he cares about. After hearing Shahid Afridi statement through media, Miandad leveled match fixing allegations against former Pakistan T20 captain Afridi. Miandad was talking to Samaa TV when he said Afridi has fixed matches and sold Pakistan team.
Shahid Afridi had taken match fixing allegation seriously. A proud Pakistani would never face any such allegation of selling the team. Afridi demanded Miandad to withdraw match fixing allegations which he didn't do so far. “Javed Bhai has pardoned me? Thanks, But has he withdrawn his allegations, what has he got to say to that?” Afridi put a question on his verified Twitter account. “His allegations caused pain & grief to me my family and my fans, is he retracting from his actual allegation?” Afridi questioned. Miandad had been served a legal notice and if he doesn't provide proof that Afridi has fixed matches and sold Pakistan team then matter will be taken to court. Let judge decide who is right and who is wrong.

“I take my words back. Shahid Afridi is like my younger brother. There have never been any differences between us”, Javed Miandad said, while commenting on his statements about Shahid Afridi.
Afridi said he and his family were hurt over Javed Miandad’s remarks and thanked him for clarifying the matter. “If my words hurt Miandad, I apologise for it,” Afridi said.
