PCB extended Grant Flower Contract:
Pakistan Cricket Board has decided to extend Grant Flower contract as batting coach for an other year. Flower's contract expired few months ago and he is already one extended temporary contract. Mickey Arthur recently appointed head coach of Pakistan cricket team is in favor of Grant Flower coaching extension. Apart from Grant Flower, Grant Luden's contract as fitness trainer has been extended for another year as well. PCB has also announced hiring former Pakistan cricketer Azhar Mehmood as a bowling coach for Pakistan tour of England. Azhar has been in England for a while and playing domestic cricket there; he would definitely bring a lot of experience to Pakistan bowling attack.

Pakistan main worry for long time is their batting power. They lack consistent performance from middle order and especially openers. It will be a big challenge for Grant Flower to work on openers and middle order batsmen. Cricket team do no lack experience but they struggle to click, and lose their wicket at wrong stage of game. Statistics shows that under Grant Flower's coaching period, Pakistan has improved a lot in batting department. But it is just comparison to past record and it doesn't mean that their batting is one of the best in cricketing world.
