Afghanistan is hopeful of signing an MOU with India that will enable Afghanistan to play annual bilateral series against India and matches against team travelling India. It is a very positive move by Afghanistan cricket board, more matches will help board and cricketer earn more revenue. xperience gain through facing ICC Full members will help Afghanistan to a head of other associate teams. Ireland is enjoying the same benefit at the moment. Any team visiting England goes to Ireland to play some ODI matches, in result Irish team is getting more international exposure.

September 2017 is cut off for ICC World cup 2019 qualification and it would be the best time for Afghanistan to play as many matches and win them. Afghanistan has sent an MOU to BCCI and is hopeful that they will accept it. Sharjah is home ground for Afghanistan cricket team and now they are planning to shift it to India. Afghanistan team is in a good rhythm now and they have a winning momentum. If they keep playing the way they are now, no doubt they will make it to World cup 2019. Afghanistan cricket team had only a single win in ICC cricket world cup 2105, hosted in Australia and New Zealand. But since then progress has been tremendous and Afghanistan is currently ranked no 10 in ICC ODI ranking chart released on 13th of June, 2016.
