Australia defeated West Indies in the final game of Tri Series by 58 runs. Australia batted first in the match and put 270 runs on the board for the loss of 9 wickets. Mathew Wade was top scorer for Aussies, scoring 57 runs of 52 balls only. Apart from Wade, Finch and Smith contributed with bat scoring 47 and 46 runs respectively. West Indies stumble in their chase, they struggle to stay on top of the game. Even though they had 49 runs opening stand but it was mostly due to heroic batting by Charles (top scorer for WI) scoring 45 runs of 61 balls. West Indies kept losing wickets at regular interval and Australia never let them build a much important partnership.

Australia would be really happy with team performance. Mitchel Marsh emerged as a player who can perform under pressure. Josh Hazlewood was a class bowler from Australian side, bowling under pressure and leading the pace attack. Wade displayed all round performance, his keeping was brilliant and his quick 57 runs push Australian total to 270 in final game. Josh Hazlewood restricted West Indies to 212 by taking 5 wickets for 50 runs in 9.4 overs; he was later on given Player of the series award. Mathew Wade was declared Player of the match for his batting efforts.
