Australia beats South Africa in a hectic 5th ODI match to jump to the first spot in ICC ODI Rankings. South Africa destroyed the middle order of Australia but still they fought till the end to grab a two wickets victory by D/L method.

Australia won the 5 match odi series 4-1 against South Africa. They will be hosting the upcoming 2015 world cup. The victory ahead of the WC will help them play positive and aggressive cricket on the same grounds.
South Africa batted first and left a winning target of 281. Australia in reply took a genuine start with Watson's 82, Finch's 76 and Smith's 67. Later on their middle batting order could not even reach double figures. They gradually lost wickets but still survived to win the game by 2 wickets in the final over.
Q de Kock received the player of the match award while SPD Smith grabbed the player of the series award.
