Aussies batsmen Smith & Faulkner beat RCB by 5 Wickets.
35th match of IPL was played between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rajasthan Royals on Sunday, 11th May, 2014. Bangalore batted first and with Yuvraj's knock of 83, putted a high total of 190 on score board. Rajasthan started their innings really well with 50+ opening stand. They lost their first wicket of Ajinkya Rahane (24) for 54 runs. After Rahane departs, RR lost 2 more quick wickets by adding only 9 runs. RR lost 5 wickets for 106 in 14th over when Aussies batsmen Smith & Faulkner came for rescue. Faulkner and Smith smashed RCB bowlers for high boundaries. For 6th wicket partnership Faulkner & Smith shared 85 runs in just 32 balls to complete 191 runs chase. Hence Rajasthan Royals beat Royal Challengers Bangalore by 5 Wickets in just 18.5 overs. Faulkner scored 41 off 17 balls while Smith made 48 off 21 balls to complete an astonishing win over Bangalore. James Faulkner was the Man of the match.
Some superb hitting by smith and Faulkner brought royals back them in the game and added 2 points in points table. Faulkner is a big hitter and smith recent form made him strong competitor in this format of cricket. IPL 7 is mostly dominated by Aussies but its unfortunate to see their early departure in world t20 world cup.
