Kings XI Punjab beat Chennai Super Kings in IPL qualifier II by 24 runs to enter finals. Sehwag's century opens the gate for KXIP as they beat CSK in a do or die match. Kings XI bat first & posts a huge total of 226 in 20 overs with Virender Sehwag the top scorer (122 of 58 balls). Suresh Raina in reply smashes 33 runs in 6th over to score the 2nd fastest IPL fifty in 16 balls. Raina makes 87 runs in just 25 balls & gets run out by captain Bailey. Raina's wicket proves the major blow for Chennai Super Kings as the middle order is unable to produce many runs with high momentum. Dhoni plays an unbeaten innings of 42 in 31 balls but not able to take his team beyond 226 runs. As a result KXIP beat CSK by 24 runs. Virender Sehwag receives the man of the match award by his splendid performance with bat.
