Zimbabwe Cricket has been in financial crisis for a while and ICC has finally started taking actions. Zimbabwe have mismanaged US $6m from ICC by over paying players in its new franchise system. ICC chief executive David Richardson has visited Zimbabwe recently and met board to find solutions to financial crisis. Together they have come up with three years of restructuring program. Franchises have been told to keep least number of players with them, in this way 30 players will loose their jobs. There will be 10 contracted players per franchise and 20 centrally contracted players. Rest of the domestic cricket players will be paid on "pay as you play" basis.
