BPL 2017: Comilla Victorians beat Chittagong Vikings by 6 wickets:

Comilla Victorians defeated Chittagong Vikings by 6 wickets in the second last over when 6 runs were required off 12 balls & Samuels ended the game in a fashion by hitting a six. Comilla restricted the Vikings to 139-4 in 20 overs. The batting stars from Comilla include Imrul Kayes & Jos Buttler that almost let their side to the victory. The duo made 74 runs third wicket partnership before both were removed. Imrul became the top scorer for Victorians. He was dismissed for 44 off 31 balls & his innings included two fours & three sixes.

Comilla Victorians seal 8 wicket victory against Chittagong Vikings

Chittagong Vikings lost three out of four matches they played. The Victorians spin trio Rashid Khan, Mohammad Nabi & Arafat Sunny stopped the runs with combined bowling figures of 2 for 50 from 10 overs. They bowled too many dot balls.

Luke Ronchi attacked the Victorians’ bowlers early with 31 off 19 balls. No other player made more runs despite consuming more balls. Sarkar scored 30 off 32 deliveries & he smashed four boundaries & a six over midwicket. Dilshan Munaweera scored 19 off 25 deliveries, which had a single six.

Sikandar Raza was able to find only one boundary in his 20 off 24 balls. Ronchi was the top scorer for Vikings who hit five fours & a six towards long on.

Munaweera dismissed Tamim Iqbal & Liton Das early but Imrul Kayes & Jos Buttler steadied the ship. Imrul was the top scorer for Comilla & it was his third consecutive match winning performance, having remained unbeaten in his earlier two games. Imrul Kayes received the player of the match award.
