KL Rahul equals world record with 7 Test half centuries in a row:

Indian opener KL Rahul hits another fifty against Sri Lanka on the first day of the third Test match. This is Rahul’s 7th consecutive Test fifty & he joins the elite list today by equaling his world record of scoring 50+ score in 7 successive innings.

KL Rahul has surpassed Rahul Dravid in terms of scoring consecutuve fifties. KL Rahul is the first Indian batsman to accomplish this feat. Rahul’s magnificent performance started in home series against Australia where he scored 5 consecutive fifties. He could not play the first Test in Sri Lanka tour. He participated in the second Test match & continued scoring half centuries.  The table shows the highest number of fifties in a row by an Indian Test batsman.
