Saeed Ajmal doesn't believe in Quitting:
Pakistan offspinner and expert in bowling doosra, Saeed Ajmal doesn't believe in quitting. Ajmal wants to keep playing domestic cricket and prove his fitness to Pakistan Cricket Board that he is worthy of another chance. Saeed Ajmal lost the touch after remodeling his bowling action. Even though he is no longer the same offspinner who could turned match around at any time but he is still fit as before. Saeed Ajmal proved his fitness in National T20 cup and is not in mood to walk away from cricket game. Saeed Ajmal finished as top wicket taker in National T20 cup and took 20 wickets from 9 matches only with a bowling average of 11 only.
Saeed Ajmal is hopeful of getting an other chance to represent Pakistan again in international cricket matches. "I have worked really hard to stage a comeback and my performance in the National T20 Cup reflects that," Ajmal said. "The board doesn't have a decent offspinner in its entire domestic structure. I have played a key role in so many victories, the board should give me a chance like the West Indies are giving to Sunil Narine." - sourced from espncricinfo. Pakistan cricket is still lacking an experienced offspinner in ODI, however Yasir Shah is doing good in Test cricket.
Saeed Ajmal has played 35 test matches and took 178 wickets at a bowling average of 28.10. Ajmal has taken 269 wickets from only 177 ODI matches. Saeed Ajmal believes that his performance has improved a lot since his return during Pakistan tour of Bangladesh. Saeed Ajmal is working hard and wants to be match winner again for Pakistan cricket team.
Pakistan Cricket Board executive committee chairman Najam Sethi has said that PCB will honor Shahid Afridi and Saeed Ajmal in a fitting send offs. Which means Shahid Afridi and Saeed Ajmal might get another chance to play for Pakistan cricket team but that will be the last time they will represent country. However, Saeed Ajmal is optimistic of getting an other opportunity of representing Pakistan and proving to PCB that he has got what it takes to be a match winner. If Ajmal doesn't perform well then he is willing to quit cricket for good.
