3 Cricket Matches ruined by rain in 1 day:
Recent raining in part of the world where cricket is being played has ruined matches. It seems like rain is following cricket. Useful time is lost to rain and wet out field in cricket test and ODI matches. Almost all current cricket tours are effected by rain. India might lose its number 1 ranking in ICC test ranking if they don't win the final test against West Indies. It will be good opportunity for Pakistan to get to number 1 ICC test ranking after decades.
Pakistan v/s Ireland 2nd ODI: Second ODI match between Pakistan and Ireland is abandoned with out a ball bowled due to heavy raining and wet outfield. Rain defeated both countries and not even a single ball was bowled. Pak v Ire match was due to be played at The Village, Malahide, Dublin, Ireland. First match of series was cut down to 43 overs each due to raining as well. Pakistan won 2 match ODI series by 1-0.
West Indies v/s India 4th Test: Two days of 4th test match are wasted due to rain and wet outfield. Not even a single ball was bowled on day 2 and day 3 of India v/s West Indies test match. Match was schedule to be played at Queen's Park Oval, Port of Spain, West Indies. Only 62 runs were scored by West Indies for loss of 2 wickets after 22 overs. India is leading 4 test match series by 2-0. India need to win this match to stay on top of ICC test ranking. If this final test match is drawn then it means Pakistan will move up to top rank of ICC test ranking.
South Africa v/s New Zealand Test match: Rain has ruined a delightful swing bowling day in South Africa as well. South Africa pace attack was in full control of the match, the only thing they do not have power over; is the weather. Only 16 overs were bowled on the 2nd day of test match due to persistent rain. New Zealand were 15 for 2 when match stopped on second day due to rain. Dale Steyn would be eager to go out there and bowled New Zealand team out. But unfortunately, no one has control over rain.
Cricket Matches Effected by Rain:
It turned out to be rain is the biggest enemy of cricket match this month. Three out of four cricket series are effected by rain. Pakistan, Ireland, South Africa, New Zealand, India and West Indies are the cricket team playing international cricket. All teams are effected by rain, some will lose test ranking and others will improve on their ranking. Records are held from breaking due to wet weather. Once it clears up, cricket sports can resume its usual business.
